ABOUT USO Experience

Oklahoma City is known for its cowboy culture and capitol complex, surrounded by working oil wells. While oil, natural gas, and petroleum products and are the largest sector of the local economy, the federal government employs large numbers of workers at Tinker Air Force Base and the United States Department of Transportation. The base has more than 26,000 military and civilian employees. USO Experience Oklahoma City celebrates the men and women of the United States Military for their heroism and the sacrifices they make for Americans. RIVERSPORT OKC is a project of the Oklahoma City Boathouse Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation, and has approved the USO to use their venue to execute USO Experience. The event consists of a series of athletic, recreational, and social events that facilitate interactions between the military and civilian communities.
