USO Experience

USO Experience invites our active duty and wounded, ill and injured service members to participate in various recreational and therapeutic activities. The USO will host five USO Experience events in 2021 focusing on outdoor activities, music therapy, and honoring our service members and families.

The USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.

USO Experience is a series of athletic, recreational, and social activities for service members and their families, combined with educational and entertaining public elements.

Service members’ activities include surfing, kayaking, cycling, waterskiing, as well as adaptive and therapeutic activities meant to facilitate physical and psychological wellbeing.

USO Experience social and educational events facilitate interactions between military and civilians and provide an opportunity for the civilian community to see that our service members are more than brave people keeping them safe. These common unifying experiences between the military service members and civilians let the military know they are supported, valued, and respected by their country.

USO's Mission

The USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.

MISSION FIRST

For over 80 years, the USO has been the nation’s leading organization to serve the men and women in the U.S. military, and their families, throughout their time in uniform. From the moment they join, through their assignments and deployments, and as they transition back to their communities, the USO is always by their side.

The USO is not part of the federal government. A congressionally chartered, private organization, the USO relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations and corporations to support its activities, and is powered by a family of volunteers to accomplish our mission of connection.
